These days, it seems that a teacher can not see without looking, a student with the signature white headphones dangling from his ears covered. Instead of fighting the epidemic iPod, teachers can use to their advantage.

In an article in 2007, the Pew Research Center that more than half of American teens have an iPod or MP3 player. The number increases by 1% in 2003 and expects to raise (Pew Research Center/2006 Harrison Group Holding). Because students spend many hours of listening per day, may their iPod, they are a valuable tool for teachers who want to engage student interest.

Apple offers free educational materials, teacher-developed lesson plans, downloads, podcasts, and more with iTunes U, but there are infinite possibilities beyond what Apple has to offer.

Here are some more creative ways to integrate your iPod into the classroom with activities, homework and general strategies for learning.

Classroom Podcasts

Since some students received more visibility, podcasts can provide a replacement aid for studying chapters of traditional books. You can save all lectures, class discussions, review games, or brief summaries about. The most successful podcasts are 6-10 minutes in the rule.

Audacity offers free podcasting software and easy to understand tutorial for beginners.

Audiobooks

It is now time to expand a child’s iPod world. Audiobooks can play a hobby for busy students. You can listen while exercising, driving or sitting in the bus. Make “read” the habit! Free audio books available for download: LibriVox, freeclassicaudiobooks.com, Gutenberg and audiobooksforfree.com.

Student Projects

Using the same technique described in the podcast section, ask students to produce their own music, old radio, readings of plays and stories, or news programs. You can convert your video or audio format MP3, post it online and share with the class.

You can see examples of how the media more than 200 classes are integrated, podcasting and digital Education Podcast Network, please visit: epnweb.org

One of the parents over and point estimate: they work for their children to share with your friends and family.

Language Learning

Whether you work with ESL students or teaching a foreign language, a language to bring it to life will be infinitely easier for students. Students can hear speakers include additional common practice outside the classroom and also to work on pronunciation.

If you already have the CDs or tapes, students can download on iTunes and Media Player.

Revolution and Evolution of the education system

BY PROF.MSRAO, ACADEMIC GUIDE, ICFAI University, India

“Education is to improve the lives of others better and for leaving your community and the world than you found it,” Martin Wright Edelman.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SOCIETY:

Education provides rights to information, imagination, knowledge, ideas, values, ethics, makes all the arguments and all human rights. Education brings refinement, adds intelligence and independent and confident man It’s only people who have armed and equipped with education, which is lacking in animals. Education is not just about reading and writing but also thinking, learning, reflection, experience and so on. Education is a learning process from cradle to grave. It is education that has brought many changes in this world, and transforms the whole of civilization since time immemorial. Ariel and Will Durant quote: “Education is the transmission of civilization.”

The growth of the company depends solely on the type of education adopted. Education: an enormous impact on society. The quality of society is implemented by the quality of the education system. Someone has rightly said: “Institutions of higher quality are essential if we want a better life.” Proper training makes people to build character, values, ethics, and prepares the company and the country as a whole to start with the rest of the world. A good education is the inheritance or gift that we offer our future generations. George Peabody, said: “Education: a debt that this, in future generations. “

Effects of education on society:

Kerala is the first state in India, the percentage achieved through literacy cent. He urged other countries to achieve their best as a contribution to literacy in general. Instead, Kerala will become a model state and ideal state emulated by the rest of the country in providing importance to education.

No nation can develop without adequate education. And India is developing as a society and as a nation over the past 60 years. India now has huge human resources and has a thirst for the best technical manpower in the world. Although the impact of education in society is enormous, but there are gray areas that must be addressed. India has developed as a nation, politically, culturally, economically and socially, but it must focus even more in the right direction.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use words to change the world,” Nelson Mandela. It is very obvious that no weapon is more than education. Besides education, the influence of major technology changes in society brought with it. If technology is used in the right direction and if it relates to education, one can expect miracles in society as a whole.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

“Education is when you read the fine print. Experience is what you, if you do not, “said Pete Seeger. All human beings make many mistakes, causing bitterness and experience of course. If a person is educated, he knows things, because he reads the fine print. It tends to make some mistakes in his life. When, if an individual is raised to it tends to make more mistakes because he does not know the fine print. An individual without statement said in the trial of the method error. If he succeeds in his trial, he continued, or it falls. The ignorant man thinks, especially in observation and practical knowledge. Success is much more educated people prefer an uneducated man. Education reduces the complexity of life could make life simpler, easier and more comfortable. John Dewey rightly said: “Education is not preparation for life Education is life itself. “

PROBLEMS IN Education today:

India is the second largest populated country in the world and unfortunately it is not qualitatively far from the number. It may be again due to the huge population and types of administrative and political system we have. There is emphasis on cramming, memory and keep going. The one on the cup, and examine the document is treated as a deserving candidate. It causes no imagination, creativity and originality. There is no effective emphasis on practical aspects of life. This is mainly on theoretical aspects and concepts for well-read without institutions can not fight.

School children are loaded with many books and it is very stressful. Education, should be done with entertainment and fun for students of the joy of learning, what is lacking is discovered. The children are horrible to go to school because of the study too. Even children at home engage in duties as. Such things do not help the relationship between parent and child at home. Inadequate infrastructure and inexperienced teachers are another scourge. Unfortunately, in India, both primary and secondary schools are still struggling to survive high. The views and opinions of students are not followed. Students are always imposed, what is there in the manuals that causes a lack of imagination and innovation. RW Emerson rightly said, “The secret in education lies in meeting the student. Only when students are respected and valued, they will try to think creatively, innovatively and out of the box. Students should be provided with more freedom of thought available.

It is very regrettable that teachers are paid not pretty. Best minds to pursue other professional and monetary benefits for better flyers. It is unfortunate that these teachers because of their ability and taste and temperament of the class or because there is no alternative (TINA factor) Career stick.

Pandit Nehru and policy Kothari Commission had made significant changes in education, but there is no effect healthy and constructive. This is the commodification of education, and began a little fly by night operators in this area sacred and spoiled standards.

Tools and techniques to overcome:

Teachers should receive regular training to update and develop their skills and abilities. Improve the promotion of regular workshops or seminars or courses related to teaching methods and sharpen their skills. These seminars will therefore replace teachers and gather more information.

“He who opens a school door, closes a prison” Victor Hugo. Children 6 to 14 must be included in schools, education, because it is the best age for the grant to attract the interest of education. Child labor was abolished, but unfortunately it is not effectively enforced. Children should be encouraged through various innovative ways to conserve resources in schools.

Content and curriculum in the education system must be addressed. Streamlining the educational system at national, Kashmir to Kanyakumari will develop teaching standards. There are differences in education in various states and efforts should be made to fill these gaps.

Govt. Charges of 2 per cent Education Cess and authorities should ensure that funds are in the right direction, creating an educational infrastructure. Nobody is against the ECSS levy of 2 percent, but to make good use and resource mobilization good results quickly.

Place greater emphasis on vocational training is the need of the hour. Currently, there is a huge gap between industry and universities. Infosys’ Campus Connect upcoming initiative to bridge the gap between industry and science, and is a step in the right direction deck. Business leaders have a crucial role in financing the education system. You make money for themselves, pay their employees fair wages and payment of dividends to its shareholders and all those involved in the business of winning one way or another. But what they contribute to education and society? It is recognized that helping hands are much better than praying lips. Company is large or small, can all come forward to contribute their best to bring the Indian educational system on par with global standards.

It is important to support education reforms, from time to time, such as tools and techniques involved in making changes to the teaching quickly under the influence of technology.

For professional qualifications such as engineering, management, medicine, computer, etc., students should be placed in the training practical and project work in the first year itself. These activities will build more confidence in the minds of students as they cover the needs of industry and thus the development expectations of the industry. Fee structure must be streamlined, and the salary should be made by students with scholarships available.

Provision of interest free loans to help education, the poor and deserving students. In addition, it is desirable not to promote, preserve professionalized graduate professional. “Education is not filling a bucket but lighting a fire,” said William Butler Yeats. Education should ignite the minds of students and must move students from the comfort zone, zone effectively. The students have not reached the comfort zone is equal to the size of the area.

CONCLUSION:

There is a strong need to streamline the current education system. Problems in the education system must be treated immediately. Education must be based on ethical, social, professional and scientific. Education builds man and man in turn builds the nation. A strong nation can only be built if there is a strong character education. Abraham Lincoln rightly said: “Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we do, the tree is the real thing. “Therefore, the essence of all education is the strength of character. Approaches to the evolution and revolutionary change in education Current is the need of the hour. We must build a nation where youth have a vision to think beyond their geographical boundaries. It should improve the ability to develop students’ intelligence, spirit and stand on its own feet.

MESSAGE:

Education and character are two sides of same coin and one without the other makes no sense. Money can come and go, but it is the character that is valid from the beginning to the end of life. Any person, whether they can be equipped with the formation of character of each part of the world beyond. To put it in the words of Martin Luther King Jr. Put “The function of education to teach an intensive course, to think and think critically intelligence and character ….. .. .. This is the goal of true education. “

An audio book transfers the written script to digital format, which is often enhanced by award winning sound tracks and professional dialogue providers. Audio books provide all that and more.

Although audio books (also formerly known as books on tape) are not a new concept, the recent technological advances with digital imagery have made audio books accessible.

Traditional print media have been slow to embrace digital technology as a learning medium; however some of the more forward thinking publishing companies are beginning to see and adapt to the many advantages of combining or enhancing their publications via both print and audio mediums.

Schools, universities and libraries are places of learning. These institutions contain and provide countless information to people regardless of age, gender, nationality and economic background. With improved technology, the manner with which information is provided and shared has changed remarkably over the years. To ensure a more efficient and better way for people to access data and spread information, here are the top audio visual products that every school, university and library should have:

Media players and camcorders

Media players can play sound and images from CDs, DVDs and other electronic media using different formats. They can range from the relatively basic CD/DVD players to the more storage-efficient players that can handle digital files. These are very helpful audio visual products for use in schools, universities and libraries because they are capable of handling large numbers of files including documents, scanned images, photos and even videos without requiring added physical facilities for storage. Because files are stored electronically, access to information is also easier for end users.

Camcorders are very useful for documenting events and filming activities. They can also be plugged to a computer monitor or TV screen for instant playback.

Data and video projectors these audio visual products are excellent for large-screen displays. They are very useful during presentations, meetings and lectures. Even older versions such as overhead projectors are still useful for simple presentations and are in fact still in use in many schools, libraries and universities.

Newer projector models can handle both data and video connected directly to the unit or fed through a separate device such as a computer.

Monitors and projection screens currently the best technology available for handling high definition images and videos are LCDs and plasma. Both technologies are prevalent among audio visual products such as TVs, computer monitors and projection screens. Their function has improved significantly during the last few years, creating better quality images and true-color contrast. Monitors and video projectors are now capable of producing sharper, crisper images, providing end users better image handling while reducing glare and eye strain. Today, these are some of the must-have additions to every school, university and library.

Monitors and projection screens come in different sizes. With smaller units starting at 17″ and larger units at 40-inch ranges, learning institutions have an excellent range of choices depending on their needs.

Conference equipment

Conference equipment is a must-have for large schools and universities and libraries that frequently host meetings, presentations and lectures. Conference equipment such as microphones, speakers and sound systems are very useful communication devices among lecturers and participants.
