Interactive educational tools are revolutionising teaching in classrooms across the country. With interactive whiteboards encouraging pupil participation and granting teachers access to a wider range of educational resources than ever before, whiteboards are looking to be the most important educational tool for 2010 – and teachers can combine their whiteboards with interactive tools to improve their user experience and make sure pupils are getting the most out of the technology.

Without the proper tools to unlock its full potential, an interactive whiteboard is just a chalkboard. Interactive whiteboard tools work together to improve usability for teachers and pupils alike – from pens that allow multiple users to interact with the whiteboard simultaneously to remote tablets and slates, allowing pupils to influence the board from their desks.

By providing pupils with their own tablets, many of which can be operated at the same time, teachers can also encourage their independent learning and critical thinking, as well as get them accustomed to the technology at an early age.

Teachers retain ultimate control of all these educational tools however, and by encouraging class participation they are helping children to get more out of their education through the sort of technology they are used to in the modern world, like remote controls. Remote controlled whiteboards give teachers even more freedom in interacting with pupils all over the classroom, while still retaining control of what is displayed on the board.

This also means that whiteboards do not need to be cluttered with distracting toolbars and other input features, ensuring that the focus is entirely on the learning resources being displayed rather than the technology itself.

Interactive teaching tools make it easier than ever for teachers to plan and modify lessons on the go, with many downloadable teaching aids and core resources being easily accessible over the web from various sites. Portable tablets liberate teachers from the classroom by allowing them to work with the interactive content wherever they are.

Schools can even equip classrooms with interactive tools designed for specific subjects, such as chemistry. The days of awkward cell diagrams are over, now that interactive microscopes can be linked directly to the whiteboard to present live magnified views for the whole class to experience on the big screen.

By offering a simple and effective way to interact with a huge range of learning resources, interactive whiteboard tools are the key educational tools for 2010.

A introduction to the acclaimed DVD work shop – Bringing Out the Brilliance In Your Infant : a practical guide for Montessori in the Home, by early childhood educator – Tamara Sheesley Balis. Transform your home into an infant’s best classroom for optimal childhood development. The Montessori method refers to “the absorbent mind” to describe the learning process of the child. Whatever the child is exposed to, whatever the infant hears, sees and feels – these are all uploaded directly into the brain. The child is forming a life-long map of how the world feels looks and works. The foundation of the brain, body and spirit come directly from the family’s interaction with the child and the child’s environment. Our mission is to inspire parents who want to implement Montessori principles in their home, but aren’t sure where or how to start – as well as those who already know and love Montessori, and want more tools for creating a Montessori family. We provide encouragement, guidance, support and a network for parents who are dedicated to raising happy, well-adjusted, independent and contributing world citizens. montessorifamilies.com
Help answer the question about Education Tools
Why are zoos important and how are they used as conservation education tools?

Many articles have already discussed about the goodness and the many uses of sand water tables. This is an educational tool that is best for the development of motor, sensory, spatial and social skills.

What about the other uses of sand and water tables? These things are not just educational tools. There’s a lot of ways how they can enjoy things when you have this, like playing things differently and not just by learning stuff like this and like that as that would really boring for the tougher guys. Moreover, this is not just for the kids but can be used by adults as well.

Playing in the sand, with a mixture of action, works pretty well. There are companies that make toys or action figures. Action figures like army men, wrestling stars, superheroes are best played and enjoyed if accompanied with a friend in your sand water table. It can serve as a battleground or a Roman arena for gladiators. These cool toys come in different styles.

Before you start deciding the kind of buy to purchase for your child, you need to know more about the toy’s content, making sure that it is non-toxic and free of choking hazards.

Exotic animal lovers can also use this table to keep their pets locked in. Sand and water are best combinations for a terrain for a pet to live in. The soft ground and a source of water keep the temperature just right and moisturized. And, here’s the thing, always think about safety first if you are planning to put some exotic poisonous pets in this table. You don’t want your family members stung by your poisonous scorpion pet that you have in the sand water table, do you? So, put this table in a safer place or put a glass barrier around it.

You can also use this sand water table as a model landscape. If you are a landscape professional such as architects and engineers, you can put your miniature buildings on it. There are a lot of designs being made for these tables. Some have wheels so that you can pull the table wherever you want.

Some have lights and a Top so that no other things can go inside. Wouldn’t that be amazing, presenting your model landscape in a business meeting with a touch of humor? That’s going to be fun.

You can also use this as a display material, putting your stuffed toys and belongings in it as a design to make it look tropical. This sand water table comes in different sizes so you don’t have to worry about fitting this table in your room.

In a world of computer graphics and complicated learning games, parents may wonder how provide toys for the very young child that helps to provide learning opportunities for the baby without the need for the baby to be hooked up to a computer monitor or other electronic gadgets. Pylones are a surprisingly good educational tool. Using bright and attractive pylones will improve your baby’s performance in several areas of cognitive behavior. Areas of coordination between eyes and hands, perception of sounds, colors and movement are all part of learning in a child who has one of these colorful toys.

Eye-Hand Coordination

When your child plays with pylones several skills are encouraged. Learning to reach for something that attracts the attention of the baby is a positive step. Successfully grasping the item is a reward in itself for the baby. The attraction of the bright colors encourages the baby to begin exploration of his or her world. Although there is nothing complicated about the toy, pylones encourage eye-hand coordination in the youngster. The shape of the toy is just right for small hands to grasp, especially in the maraca style and the tambourine style. When the baby reaches for the tool and connects, it uses the neural pathways successfully.

Grasping Skills

Similar to the learning of eye-hand coordination are the grasping skills that occur when the baby not only connects with the pylones, but is able to use the finer muscles of the hand and fingers to grasp and move the pylones. The human body is a marvelous instrument but most adults forget that many of the skills used to operate it successfully are learned through repetition as an infant. grasping skills are learned by trial and error. The large muscles of the arm and shoulder help the baby to reach toward the object, but once it is touched, it requires a different type of skill to grasp the item and successfully close the hand and fingers around it.

Sound and Rhythm

When playing with pylones, the baby learns that shaking the toy results in sound. Not just any sound, but rhythmic sound. Anyone who has ever watched a toddler move the music, or sound will realize that babies love sound and rhythm. They will attempt to dance with a strong beat is heard. Pylones make an ideal toy where the child moves the toy and hears a sound that matches the movement of the toy.

Color

Bright colors are part of the attraction of pylones when you provide the toy for your child. Bold primary colors are the signature of such toys. These bright colors attract the attention of the young child and the natural reaction is to reach for the appealing toy. Pylones are a top learning toy in spite of the simplicity of its design. The bright colors more than make up for the simplicity of the design. The colors don’t fade, so the toy will be popular with your youngster for the purpose of educational tools.

A builder is only as good as their tools, and the same could be said for some aspects of teaching.

While it’s true that many teachers fulfil their duties by standing before their class and describing concepts in a lecture style, the introduction of more modern technologies could really do a lot to increase the effect of the class.

No matter what you teach, or to whom, you may find that your lessons could benefit immensely from the addition of an interactive whiteboard to your classroom. These incredible tools open up a whole new world of opportunity when it comes to education and can help teachers make the leap from ‘good’ to ‘great’.

With an interactive whiteboard, you can show students graphs, charts, videos, images and notes at the touch of a button. Capable of displaying on a wall anything that can be shown on a computer desktop, interactive whiteboards truly are the educational tools of the future. And you can use them to do all kinds of things.

For example, a primary school teacher might make the most of the tool’s ability to edit and insert new data on the spot to encourage pupils to write their very own story as a class, complete with pictures, which can be saved and referred to at a later date.

In university, a debating class may utilise learner response units to enable students to vote on the most compelling arguments, collating the results into instant, easy to read graphs while the votes are being placed. With barely any effort at all, you will be able to quiz students on what they have learned during your class, get pupils to come up and input answers to questions on the screen and truly create an interactive learning experience that your classes will find both immersive and entertaining.

Of course, it’s important to remember that an interactive whiteboard is a tool to enhance your teaching while not being a teacher itself – just as the builder’s tools merely help the builder create a sturdy, reliable house – so it’s still up to you to utilise the tool in the best way to yield the best results.

Once you’ve spent some time experimenting with the capabilities that interactive whiteboard tools have on offer, it won’t be long before you’re creating fantastic lesson plans that will help you make that leap to being a truly fantastic teacher.
