The Institute for Distance Education at the University of Madras offers a number of doctoral students and post graduates. Founded in 1981, the Institute has scattered the proud owner of the old in the world. The system of distance education, the institute offers courses in ordinary times and the Open University water.
A typical year of study at the Institute of Distance Learning begins in July / August and lasts until April / May addition to graduate and postgraduate courses should be extended over a year (January to December each year) as well. The Open University System of Distance Education Institutions has been introduced in the University of Madras in 1985. This is the educational opportunities for people who do not have to teach basic skills, but strive for higher education. The only requirement for admission to the Open University system is that the candidate must be 18 Years of age as on 1 July of the year have the approval. However, there is an entrance to connect basic literacy level of a candidate test for a certain price.
