The Future of Educational Technology and Education 3.0

by admin

In thinking of what education could look like the next ten years, we can see that the trends in technology so many of our students behind. We no longer live in an age of visible movement, when it comes to progress and innovation. Today is an era of exponential change. New technologies are emerging and continuously improved every day and in every corner of society.

To investigate the best and brightest minds in this new world will be a new paradigm and the improvement of education. To our educational tools for ages in the corner of the classroom, the error will cost us, that may be our future. Throw the masses of children in unequal access will ensure that we at the bottom of the pool of workers at work languish world in the coming decades.

New Toolbox

I was at an auction several years ago, and I noticed some old woodworking tools that I thought I could use. For a little money I was able to hang an assortment of hand tools to have in the box that someone a generation or more like it. As the next decade, I have used these tools in my shop for a variety of projects to my project has exceeded its old blunt tools. My creations from wood has improved further than my skills and my craft. I soon discovered that the use of improved tools result in an improvement in the trade. As any carpenter will tell you, new tools require new skills.

The wood is a metaphor for many students to shape and form. There is simply no good substitute for a sharp tool. If you wish to build the best possible projects, you need the best tools possible. The thinking in the next ten years for our country, we are in our projects very disappointed if we fail to improve our instruments.

In this article I will try to get a picture of how technology shapes the way we educate to draw students in the next ten years. I will try the amazing ways that show was before us if we will just go through the door to opportunity open for us. My focus is this idea: transform the student to be a passenger to a user. “You may be wondering what I mean. Let me explain.

Ask yourself what it means to be a user “means.” A user is not simply a person who uses it. For the students, a user must incorporate the application of advanced technologies in a free and independent. This new freedom allows the student an active participant in the formation instead of a passive passenger become. No other time in history we’ve been able to achieve it.

In today’s technological society, such as a user, will also be monitored. Monitoring has become an important part of our daily lives and this is the engine of our educational process should focus in the foreseeable future. Monitoring a student means the ability to form on the strengths and weaknesses of goal. The ability to precisely adapt the individual curriculum, the Holy Grail of the philosophy of education for many years. The golden era of technological development could soon make this dream a reality.

Current curriculum and individual assessment is arbitrary at best. The ability to accurately assess a student can not by using the following databases and modern technology. The means by which we can make it a reality is easily accessible and should to be taken off the shelf. If Congress is looking for a huge project and prepared it can be.

Imagine a world where every child has a tablet computer with easy access to the App photographic memory virtual (internet). In addition, imagine that every student has access to all knowledge of mankind free at any point in time. Continue to imagine the world where a misspelled word application opens a spelling contest instead of an automatic correction. Try to imagine what it means for a teacher, a database of every word is misspelled, concepts have all missed or misunderstood equation for each of their students. Try to imagine a teacher with the ability to customize the experience of the individual “user” with minimal effort. Consider the program automatically to the user through an intuitive platform for teaching all know the strengths and weaknesses of each targeted individual. I could continue, but I think you get the point.

The company, that this type available to the education community, the society, which are the future of humanity forms produced. Will Google, Apple, Microsoft or other unknown pioneer?

Continuation of the idea in my last post, would I like to expand on the idea of students as users of a new platform for standardized training. It is clear to me that is the future of education always reflect our daily life, one way or another. If you look at your life, as the technology is already involved, you begin with an overview of what it means to be educated in the next ten years to develop.

In the last hundred years, most people would consider education as something that you get. We often hear the question “Where did you get your education? As we go through the next decade, education will slowly away from the desk and toward the individual user. New technologies allow us not only to get an education, but also to develop an education. The question one can ask in 10 years: “How did you develop your education?” The question will become increasingly important, but how the problem is the definition of each.

To make it a reality that we need a standardized platform to develop the unique teaching of students. This standard platform allows us to tailor a custom program, with the talents, interests and goals in life will be compared. For the educators a standardized platform is a way to help students discover a true meaning of life through a unique educational experience. , The foundations of reading, writing and arithmetic is not taught as they are discovered and can be used. Learning is a mutual exchange of experiences between teachers, students and the machine.

Under a single platform, each of these three participants will have a role to play. The teacher will be the facilitator, helps the development of the curriculum and the inspiring leadership of the student takes. The student will be the user, the collection of resources, skills and knowledge in an effective sequence and measured. The machine is used for data collection and analysis, is that teachers and students in refining the program help to work. The work of collecting data machine is also the teacher to redirect the burden of record keeping requirements and tedious tasks that are currently on the true mission of teaching and learning process.

After a standardized system, the school will be much less important. The performance and progress will be measured by the performance and intelligence as a criterion for success. The question of success or failure is irrelevant and replaced by a standardized and consistent general intelligence and potential. The information will not be missed, but endlessly repeated and monitored for the conservation through the machine.

In our current educational model, the teacher is responsible for arbitrary construction of the curriculum. This approach to program development is based on the inexperience in some cases, obsolete equipment, inadequate funding and lack of time. Measuring the success of a specific program is currently impossible. Using a standardized system to allow comparisons of the academic success of the entire spectrum of education are made and then continually revised and improved by the machine.

Unfortunately, teachers are now stuck with an assortment of mind-numbing tasks, the system would be better suited to outside the plate-automated. Tasks such as data monitoring, reporting and record keeping requirements are currently performed manually. These tasks could easily be transferred to a database input. to follow the development of a standard would be to address these tasks and to do their main job of the free teacher teaching students.

Education 3.0

Throughout history man has tried to pass on knowledge to the next generation. This process began with the oral history, storytelling and writing. With the advent of the printing press, knowledge and information has become gradually available to the masses. The amount of information that could be acquired by a man in her life was severely limited by their access to printed and prosperity. Most of the learning was acquired through observation and imitation. 1.0 We may call this training.

2.0 Education begins in the late nineteenth century with movements by general literacy newly industrialized regions of the world. Improvements in education slow transition from learning to formal education and training. Despite our movement towards universal education, continue to have access to knowledge and opportunity to unfair world. Even with the advent of the computer revolution, access to learning resources to continue to define the learners.

In the next decade the moment in history when all people are entitled to equal access to the greatest treasure of the soul could, can possess. I use the word can in the last sentence because there are chances that we will miss this unique opportunity. 3.0 Access to education will be acquired by investment and universal standardization. If we pursue the objectives and resources on unnecessary divert corporate greed, will this opportunity be lost or delayed in despair.

Education 3.0 when it arrives, will be the general explanation. Platforms for teaching and learning normalize slowly and globally accessible and affordable. The richest poorest access to the machine that hosts the platform.

The thought of your mind at this point is probably wondering what I keep referring machine. The machine is a question which we so busy with teaching and training since about 1969th You probably already guessed that I talk to the Internet. The large cloud of knowing that we call the Internet is exactly the mechanism we use to build the platform of education is 3.0. If the platform is finally in force, the coming decade you will see the greatest amount of wealth, discovery and exploitation of human potential that we saw during our time on this earth. The only question that remains unanswered is where I leave this article.

When will we allow the user to use the machine, their potential?
